IRF (Irvington Reads for Fun)
IRF is a book-distribution program started by the PTA in 2010 when our school no longer qualified for participation in the national RIF program. Funding is provided by the Scholastic Book sale that happens each year at the school. Twice a year, IRF provides each student in the school the opportunity to select a book to keep and take home. Volunteers are needed to set up and manage the program. If you can help out, contact the Irvington Reads! coordinator, Jen Maas, jlmaas@hotmail.com.
Irvington school volunteers make it happen!
PTA coordinates parent involvement at school but you are in charge of what you’d like to do. Not all families look the same and not all volunteer roles are the same and both can change from year to year. If you had 10 hours to share with our school this year, what would you like to do? Together many hands make light work and our community grows. Best of all your child will see you actively involved in his/her future.
